Nowadays, the entry to Azerbaijan is limited. In fact, since September 6, 2021, French citizens and foreigners residing in France are allowed to enter Azerbaijan by air on the condition that they are vaccinated. Vaccination certificates issued by EU member states are recognized and can be used in Azerbaijan. Thus, the French health pass is accepted without the need for conversion into the Azerbaijani system.

In order to enter Azerbaijan, it will be necessary to present a “covid-19 passport” and a negative PCR test less than 72 hours old (antigenic tests and self-tests are not recognized by the Azerbaijani authorities). However, for minor passengers only the PCR test is required.

The CCI France Azerbaijan reminds that the entry in Azerbaijan of French citizens and foreigners residing in France and vaccinated is authorized only by air. The land borders remain closed to all, whether they are vaccinated or not.

Applications for e-visas for French citizens can be made online on the official Azerbaijani website ASAN VIZA: https://evisa.gov.az/fr/

For your information, in Azerbaijan the obligation to present a covid-19 health passport to enter closed public places (restaurants, shopping centers, etc.) came into force on September 1, 2021. It consists of the presentation of a vaccination certificate (two doses only) or a positive serology of less than 6 months (immunity certificate). It should be noted that strict controls have been put in place (verification of the covid-19 passport and an identity document).
